Prepare to squeal with delight and have your heart melted into a puddle of goo because a giant panda named Yongyong has done it again - she's given birth to twin puppies! This miracle of life happened at a reproduction base in the northwest province of Shaanxi, China. The Qinling Giant Panda Research Center is where this cuteness overload is taking place, and lucky for us, there's photographic evidence. The photo shows Yongyong's precious little ones snuggled up together, making us all wish we were pandas too. It's not every day you get to witness the miracle of life, especially when it's in the form of adorable panda puppies. Yongyong's first birth was in 2014, proving that she's a pro at this whole motherhood thing. We can only imagine what kind of mischief these twins will get into once they start exploring the world around them.
Yongyong gave birth to her first puppy on August 17, 2020, becoming the youngest Mother Panda in the youngest center.
The Qinling Panda giant is a giant panda subspecies first recognized in 2005. It has a smaller and smaller skull, a shorter snout and less skin than the most familiar Sichuan's subspecies.
Shaanxi began artificially raising the Qinling giant pandas in the 1980s and has established a mature system of artificial breeding technology. Until now, a total of 34 giant panda puppies in the province have been raised.
